Ever wanted to close certain applications, that disrupt your project work, with a single click? Many a times we open applications to perform numerous tasks, and instead of closing them down, we have to minimize them (one by one) to keep our focus on the main task. If you find yourself closing or adjusting each application window manually, you’d be better off using Undistractr for this purpose. It’s a small utility which closes all the user-specified applications with a click. You create a list of applications which distract you from working on important tasks. When you want to close them, just click Undistract me to close all the pre-defined applications.
After installation, you need to open the app.txt file that resides in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Undistractr\ folder. Enter names of application executable files which you might want to quit while working on important project work.
One listed, close the text editor. When you click Undistract me, it will, hopefully, provide you with a distraction-free work environment by closing down all the listed applications.
Undistract me works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
